Congrats card for my niece!!

My niece just got accepted to the school she really wanted to go- Oklahoma Univ. She is terribly excited about it, so I thought I'd make her a congratulation card. I just happen to have a friend who went to the same school (and also makes cards) and she just happened to have some OU paper that she sent me. Thanks Nicole!!
Card didn't turn out as I had envisioned- but my niece was very excited to get it. So...........

Christmas card- try #2

On the advice of a couple of friends, I added a little to the previous card- and it sure did make a difference!!!

Used Real Red and Whisper White CS. Snowflake and Merry Christmas were VersaMarked and then brushed Gold Pearl Ex powder on. Tied on red with gold trim ribbon.

Using Holiday Hedgehog set with red,navy and creamy carmel cs and navy ink. Colored and chalked the hedgehogs with SU markers and chalk.

Used pale and perfect plum cs on white cs. Santa was done in black outline with rose red coat etc. Added some cotton for the beard/mustache and embossing powder for the coat and hat trim.

Halloween cards

I always make some kind of Halloween goodie for the kids in my class. This year I went all out (and cased someone else) to make the cards!! What you see is everything except the candy and the ribbom to tie the card closed!!

I always have to have an excuse to make a card- and so when one of my student's parents gave me a dozen fresh farm eggs, I had to make a thank you!! Very simple and to the point!!

CGGW Birthday card

Used my favorite DP (read only DP) for yet another card. I also like the little triangular fold. Anyway- it's a Birthday card for one of my CGGW friends!!

Pre-Halloween//fall card

used Halloween Hedgehog set, Chocolate Chip and Rose Red CS to create a sort of Fall and/or Halloween card for my secret sister. Also used chalk to color and an apple punch plus an apple stamp from another set to complete the card.

Fall Wheel card

Used a wheel (with leaves-obviously), but I am not sure what wheel it is. I also used my circle punch and clear embossing powder and chalk to color the card. It didn't come out as I envisioned it (but they never do!!!!)

This card is way too simple- especially if you could see some of the birthday cards I got!!!! It's for a friend who actually likes Chad Knauss who is the crew chief for Jimmie Johnson (#48)

punny card swap card

Doing a swap at SCS using puns. I agonized over this one- which doesn't make sense, since I signed up for the swap thinking it would be easy!!! Used SU! Very punny stamp set, Mellow moss and Regal Rose (i think) CS. I don't really like it- but they're done and now I just have to wait to get some money so I can mail them off!!

Once again used my favorite DP CS and my 'new' favorite fold to make a birthday card.

Bella image card

Used a bella image that I got from one of my big sis's in DSS. Colored it with chalk and blender pen, using lovely lilac and summer sun (SU color CS). Also added some purple ribbon to the sides and belt.

Happy fall card

this one was kind of fun. Did the faux marble technique on the inside of the leaves. Another card for my little sis!!

Didn't really like the outcome of this card. Cut out a whole lot of strawberries to add to the card because without it, it was really boring!!!

Used a really simple idea to make an anniversary card for my bro and SIL!!

Once again I used DS CS to make a card.

Globe Card

Don't know if you can see this card or not (I really need to learn how to take better pictures!!). Anyway, I used gray, perfect plum CS and vellum. I stamped a snow globe on gray, then stamped a fish image on barely banana and colored it(that's what's in the globe). The finished project looked good- hopefully some of it transmits to the post!!

High Falls State Park

Went to another state park today for some hiking and scenery. Hiked about 5 miles or so- the falls were pretty. Also saw some wildlife- heron, turtle, doe and fawn and a couple species of frogs.

I Like Your Style

Card made out of Pumpkin Pie and Ballet Blue- dresses made out of Rose Red, More Mustard, and Regal Rose. Used I Like Your Style- SU! retired set. Embellished dresses with eyelets, clear emboss. Then used pop- up dots to adhere to card.

Indian Springs State Park

We decided to take a road trip to a nearby state park- supposedly the oldest park in the south. The pictures of of us by some of the biggest (oldest) trees there.

Don't know the name of the fold- but got a card from someone at SCS (for a swap) and really liked it. Love the DS CS so have been playing with it since I got it!! Also used SU! Friendship Blooms set, felt flower, brad and ribbon to complete!
